Manoel Padula

Manoel is Brazilian, comes from an agricultural family and has been managing Fazenda Curral Velho together with his father-in-law Christian Adler since 2015. Manoel holds a degree in chemistry and an MBA from Getulio Vargas University (BR) and Harvard University (USA). His professional career is marked by 30 years in the Brazilian packaging industry, where he was Managing Director of BEMIS Latin America and Amcor, most recently managing 5000 employees.

Christian Adler

Born 1945, founder

Christian is Belgian and lives in Brazil since he was 3 years old. He is an entrepreneur and since 1990 he has been running the business of Fazenda Curral Velho. Under Christian’s leadership, the family business has developed impressive growth and know-how in pine farming.



Christian Mardeck

Born 1976, managing founder

Christian holds a degree in Business Administration with over 20Y experience in international asset management as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager in banks, fund companies, asset management boutiques. Most recently at PIA Pontis (2Y, Managing Director, Real Estate and Infrastructure), RP Crest (10Y, CFO & COO, asset manager specialized in volatility risk premiums with BaFin license), BayernInvest Luxembourg (4Y, Fund Engineering, Fund Management, Legal/Tax) and BayernInvest Munich (10Y, Portfolio Manager and Head of Product Development/Management).

Matthias van Randenborgh

Born 1969, managing founder

Matthias is a native Brazilian and, together with Manoel Padula, the designated successor of the family business Fazenda Curral Velho. After graduating from high school in Brazil, he studied business administration in Germany and the USA and worked as an investment banker at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. Since 1999 Matthias has been an entrepreneur in asset management and is responsible for founding several successful asset management boutiques (Vescore-Solutions AG, CYD-Research GmbH, LPX AG, RP Crest GmbH, neXDos GmbH, Amfileon AG, MAM-Partners AG).
